On Thursday, DG Publishing Inc., teamed up with The Kitchen Source, Marsha Clark, founder of the Dale Clark Memorial Fund and event chairman Gaynelle Henger, to kick-off the holiday season in style. Over 100 guests shuffled about The Kitchen Source from vignette to vignette, scouring the latest trends and learning top tips and tricks from DFW's leading party planning extraordinaires. Robin Brogan (Di Fiori) and Lauren Howell (Posh Couture Rentals) set the stage with "8 Tips to Throwing an Unforgettable Party," while Katie Armstrong (Di Fiori) demonstrated chic tablescapes and savvy placesettings. Guests then moved to wine guru Karla Barber (Fine Wine Gatherings) for a lesson in complimentary and affordable wines and Melissa Wayte (Paper Affair) manned her station with some of the chicest holiday invites we've ever seen. Party-goers also enjoyed fabulous fare and a live demonstration from one of Dallas' top chefs, Chef Don Diem of The Boardroom, who's hor'dourves kept the crowd begging for more. And, former fashion photographer Tony Valadez (Flashbox Photography) was there every step of the way to capture priceless moments from the evening. Proceeds from the fabulous festivities went to the Dale Clark Memorial Fund. Guests left inspired and fully armed with the very best in party planning advice and ideas.
