One of my favorite national home design publications, Elle Decor, recently printed an article about the trendy surge in popularity of the paint splatter effect. Inspired by the catwalk, spatter is youthful, playful and fun, and this technique is popping up on everything from carpets and wallcovers, to fabric and accessories. When done correctly - combined with neutral and more simple design elements - this bold look is fierce and sophisticated. Here's a few pieces that I'm loving right now.
