Abadi Architecture and Accessibility, Inc. is an award winning, full service architectural and consulting firm that has been serving the public since 1995 under the ownership of Marcela Abadi Rhoads, AIA RAS.
Marcela Abadi Rhoads received her Architectural degree in 1991 from the University of Texas in Austin. Soon after Marcela became a registered Architect in the State of Texas in 1999, she attended the Accessibility Academy Course given by the Texas Department of Licensing and
Regulation, and became a Registered Accessibility Specialist in 2002. She is one of only 500 Registered Accessibility Specialists in the country and is considered an expert in the field. Marcela is an active member of the American Institute of Architects where she has earned several awards for her leadership and her service to the architectural community. She is also a member of Texas Registered Accessibility Specialist Association (TRASA) where she continues to hone her skills as a plan reviewer, inspector and training in the intricacies of the ADA and the Texas Accessibility Standards.
Marcela is sought after by owners and architects across the country who look to her for guidance to understand the accessibility standards throughout the design and construction process. She assists the building industry, in part, by producing a monthly newsletter to educate on the best way to apply the standards to their architectural projects.
With regards to public projects, Abadi Accessibility is a certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise in the City of Dallas, and a Historically Underutilized Business in the State of Texas. She was inducted into the Manchester’s Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals in 2005 and Cambridge Who's Who in 2007.

This seminar gives examples of common mistakes that we encounter as reviewer and inspectors. Some topics will be Alterations, restroom design, protruding objects
The participant will gain knowledge on the basic accessibility standards but also will understand the details in more complicated scenarios.
