About Chef Garth Blackburn

Garth started his culinary adventures as a result of eating his way through Europe as a member of the U.S. Cycling Team. He started his professional cooking career with a small catering company focused on high profile events for discerning customers.
He took a break from catering to graduate from culinary school while working at acclaimed Zula in downtown Houston during the peak of New American cuisine. He continued on to award-winning Trevisio with a focus on Modern Italian fare.
With a background in restaurants, further travels and eating throughout Central America and Asia, and a desire to own his own business, he started a private chef and catering company. He experienced quick success and was soon cooking for NBA players, Fortune 500 CEO’s, and politicians.
When he discovered an opportunity to cook for Sub Zero – Wolf’s new Galleria-area showroom and upcoming Dallas showroom in Turtle Creek, he jumped on it. He recently showcased his cooking ability at Whole Foods Red, Wine, and Blue, a culinary and wine extravaganza. Garth also gives his time to Recipe 4 Success’ Chefs in Schools program which introduces youths to healthy eating and local food.
