Texas Sun & Shade celebrates their 25th year in business serving Austin and Central Texas.
September marks the anniversary that Ben & Gudrun Skoldeberg, a husband and wife team, brought retractable awning systems to Austin. In 1987 the Skoldebergs, along with one business partner, saw an opportunity to expand their already successful awning business, located in northern Sweden, to a new market with much climatic need for these systems - and Texas Sun & Shade was born.

On September 26, the Skoldebergs held a celebration at Abel’s on the Lake to mark the anniversary of their business in Austin. They welcomed their staff, friends, family, clients and all of the business partners who have contributed to the success of Texas Sun & Shade over the past 25 years.
